Dr. Stephanie Dwyer Kaluzna is a Cardiovascular Clinical Pharmacist at the University of Illinois Hospital and a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy. She is the primary pharmacist for the Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery services. She also serves as the Residency Program Director for the PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Residency Program. She completed her PharmD degree at UIC College of Pharmacy – Rockford campus, a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, and a PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Residency at UIC. Her main areas of interest within cardiology include acute decompensated heart failure, antithrombotic therapy, and transitions of care.

Dr. Marc Scheetz attained a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Butler University, earned a Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation degree at Northwestern University, and completed his pharmacy practice residency and an infectious diseases fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr. Scheetz is a Professor at Midwestern University in the Chicago College of Pharmacy and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Pharmacology, College of Graduate Studies. Dr. Scheetz is the Director of the Pharmacometric Center of Excellence at Midwestern University. He currently practices clinically as an infectious diseases pharmacist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in downtown Chicago, IL and serves as the Director for the Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program in Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy. Dr. Scheetz has authored over 190 original research manuscripts and review articles in the area of anti-infective pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and currently serves as a reviewer for several infectious diseases, pharmacy, and medical journals. His primary research interest lies in the interface of the pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic interaction (i.e. between antimicrobials, pathogens, and hosts). He is particularly interested in assessing modifiable pharmacologic variables in the treatment of infectious diseases and identifying optimal exposures against the backdrop of toxicity. His group studies toxicology in the laboratory as well as through clinical data modeling. Dr. Scheetz is actively engaged in local and national leadership positions and formerly served as a member of the FDA Antimicrobial Drugs Advisory Committee.

Robert J. DiDomenico, PharmD, FCCP, FHFSA, FACC

Dr. DiDomenico, is an Associate Professor in the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy Practice, where he also serves as Assistant Head for Faculty Affairs and Strategic Initiatives. Dr. DiDomenico is also an Affiliate member of the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomic Research and Cardiovascular Clinical Pharmacist at the University of Illinois Hospital with a practice site in inpatient cardiology.

As a clinician-scientist, Dr. DiDomenico has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and abstracts on topics related to cardiovascular pharmacotherapy and has gained national recognition as a key opinion leader in the areas of heart failure, anticoagulation, and coronary artery disease. He is actively engaged in several professional organizations, achieving fellowship status in the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (FCCP), Heart Failure Society of America (FHFSA), and the American College of Cardiology (FACC)

Dr. Patrick Wieruszewski is a pharmacist in the cardiothoracic surgery and ECMO program at Mayo Clinic. He is board certified in critical care pharmacotherapy and holds academic rank as Assistant Professor in the fields of Pharmacy and Anesthesiology in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He currently serves as vice chair for clinical pharmacy research at Mayo Clinic. His research interests include the mechanisms, management, and outcomes of refractory shock.

Dr. Ohler received a B.S. degree in pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from the University of Toledo. She completed a pharmacy practice residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a pediatric pharmacy specialty residency at Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS) and a board certified pediatric pharmacy specialist (BCPPS). Dr. Ohler is currently the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director and a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy, as well as, a pediatric clinical pharmacist specializing in neonatal intensive care at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System.

Dr. Heather Bullard PharmD, BCCCP, FCCM is a clinical pharmacist specialist practicing in the cardiothoracic surgery intensive care unit at The University of Chicago Medicine, where she also serves
as coordinator of clinical pharmacy services for adult critical care. She has held several leadership
positions in the Society of Critical Medicine, and was awarded Fellow of Critical Care Medicine by the
American College of Critical Care Medicine in the year 2020. Heather’s practice and research interests
include hematology, mechanical circulatory support, human subjects protection in research, and
disaster preparedness & response.

Kerilyn Petrucci PharmD, BCCCP

Dr. Kerilyn Petrucci is a clinical pharmacy specialist practicing in the surgery/trauma intensive care unit
at The University of Chicago Medicine. She is heavily involved in pharmacy residency training at The
University of Chicago Medicine, and has contributed to committee work through both the American
College of Clinical Pharmacy critical care and perioperative Practice and Research Networks (PRNs), and
the Society of Critical Care Medicine Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology section. Kerilyn’s practice and
research interests include trauma-induced coagulopathy, transfusion practices and resuscitation in
acute burn and trauma.

Sean Kane, PharmD, BCPS received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Butler University in 2010. In 2011, he completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency, and in 2012 he received board certification in pharmacotherapy and completed a PGY-2 critical care residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently, Dr. Kane is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois and the Assistant Dean for Assessment. Dr. Kane has a clinical practice site at Advocate Condell Medical Center’s intensive care unit, which is a 283-bed multidisciplinary community hospital representing the largest healthcare provider and the only trauma I center in Lake County.

Megan A Rech is an emergency medicine clinical pharmacist and research director for the department of emergency medicine at Loyola University Medical Center. After graduating from LECOM School of Pharmacy, she completed a PGY-1 residency at Henry Ford Hospital and PGY-2 critical care residency at Rush University Medical Center/Midwestern University. She also received a Master of Science in Clinical Research Methods and Epidemiology from Loyola University Chicago. She is a fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Clinical Pharmacists. She has over 100 peer-reviewed publications, with broad research interests pertaining to pharmacotherapy in critically and emergently ill patients. Additionally she co-founded the Emergency Medicine PHARMacotherapy research NETwork (EMPHARM-NET), whose goal is to pursue high quality research pertaining to emergency medicine pharmacotherapy.

Michelle Caruso Barrett, PharmD, BCPS, BCPPS

Michelle Caruso Barrett, PharmD, BCPS, BCPPS is the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Emergency Medicine and the Critical Care Transport Team at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy and a board certified pharmacotherapy and pediatric specialist. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The Ohio State University and completed both her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY2 Pediatric Specialty Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Barrett works closely with the Division of Trauma Services to standardize pharmacologic interventions and improve care of this patient population throughout the Tri-State region, Ohio, and across the country.

Elizabeth Goswami is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in pediatric nephrology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from South Dakota State University and then completed residencies in Pharmacy Practice and Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She spent 5 years working as a clinical pharmacy specialist in Pediatric Critical Care, first at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health and then at Texas Children’s Hospital. She then transitioned to pediatric nephrology in 2016. Her research interests include acute kidney injury and pediatric kidney transplant.

Dr. Brennan is a assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Chicago in the section of neonatology. She is the director for neonatal simulation and an associate program director for the neonatology fellowship. Dr. Brennan is interested in the use of simulation for medical education in the neonatal ICU for staff and trainees. She also participates in simulation outreach with community hospital partners and in transport simulation.

Margaret Heger, PharmD, BCPS, BCPPS is currently the Pediatric Pharmacy Supervisor at the OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine-Peoria. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Purdue University in 2001. After a few years of adult and pediatric practice, she specialized in pediatrics and worked as a pediatric intensive care pharmacist at OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois for ten years, helping open a pediatric satellite pharmacy when the children’s hospital moved into its own building on campus. At that time she transitioned into pediatric infectious disease, helping start and maintain the pediatric antimicrobial stewardship program and starting the PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency Program. She transitioned into leadership in the fall of 2022.

Dr. Mena Lora is the Program Director for the Infectious Diseases fellowship and Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine residency. He directs infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship at Saint Anthony Hospital. Dr. Mena Lora has an interest in antimicrobial stewardship and resistance in the United States and abroad.

Sherry Luedtke, PharmD, FPPA

Dr. Luedtke has over 25 years of practice and teaching experience and has served as an Associate Editor for JPPT since 2007. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994 and completed her pediatric pharmacy specialty residency at the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital in 1996. Since graduating, she has devoted her career to teaching and research in area of neonatal pharmacotherapy. She was one of the founding faculty members of the Jerry H. Hodge, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Pharmacy in Amarillo, Texas where she currently practices. Dr. Luedtke has over 150 scholarly works including poster presentations, review articles, research publications, and books chapters related to pediatric pharmacotherapy. She has received many prestigious practice and teaching awards and is a Fellow of the Pediatric Pharmacy Association. She has served as a content reviewer and editorial board member for multiple journals and reference books throughout her career.

Candice Schaper MSN, RN, CFRN, CCRN, CEN, PHRN

Candice Schaper is a critical care and flight nurse with over 22 years experience. She is currently treating patients across the lifespan at The University of Chicago, providing transport by both air and ground. She chairs the quality assurance committee and co-chairs the education committee for the UCAN transport program. Candice’s clinical interests include the development of quality assurance initiatives that drive educational offerings to clinical staff for the continued improvement of patient outcomes. She is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago as a Family/Emergency Nurse Practitioner.

She additionally holds appointments as adjunct faculty at multiple schools of pharmacy.  She has served on several committees for PPA and ACCP and has published articles in JPPT, Pharmacotherapy, and JACCP on various neonatal and pharmacy topics.

Dr. Said is a clinical pharmacy specialist for the pediatric intensive unit at Comer Children’s Hospital. She also serves as the residency program coordinator of the University of Chicago Medicine’s PGY1 pharmacy residency program. She received her PharmD from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s College of Pharmacy. Dr. Said then completed both her PGY1 pharmacy residency and PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residency at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System.

Ishaq Lat, PharmD, MBA, FCCP, FCCM

Dr. Ishaq Lat is Vice President, Clinical Services with CPS Solutions. His career in clinical pharmacy over
the course of 20 years has included critical care pharmacist, educator, researcher, and a variety of
hospital-based leadership roles. Dr. Lat has published several research reports and presented nationally
and internationally on a variety of topics related to critical care pharmacotherapy. Dr. Lat help found the
Critical Care Pharmacotherapy Trials Network (CCPTN) and served as the inaugural Chair of the Network
prior to its incorporation into the SCCM Discovery Network. Ishaq is a strong advocate for the
interdisciplinary model of patient care and clinical pharmacy services.

Susan Corbridge, PhD, APRN, FAANP, FCCP, FAAN

Susan Corbridge, PhD, APRN, FAANP, FCCP, FAAN, is the Chief Essentials Program Officer
at the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) in Washington, D.C. In this role,
she oversees all aspects of AACN’s work to facilitate the implementation of the new standards of
nursing education nationally, including initiatives funded by the American Nurses Foundation
and Johnson & Johnson. Dr. Corbridge has been a nurse educator, nurse practitioner, and
scholar for more than 25 years and is a Clinical Professor Emerita at the University of Illinois
Chicago (UIC) College of Nursing. As a faculty member at the UIC College of Nursing from
1998 – 2021, Dr. Corbridge served in many leadership and administrative roles including
Director of the adult-gerontology acute care clinical nurse specialist and nurse practitioner
programs, Director of the Graduate Entry MS Program, Director of the DNP Program, Associate
Dean of Practice, and Executive Associate Dean. In addition to her faculty and administrative
roles, Dr. Corbridge was a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of
Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago Hospitals and Clinics
and maintained an active clinical practice as a nurse practitioner for over two decades. Her
scholarship has focused on innovative team-based, nurse-led practice and educational strategies
centered on social determinants of health to inform educational initiatives, curricular reform, and
clinical practice.

Morgan Jones, PharmD, FCCM, FNCS

Morgan Jones, PharmD, FCCM, FNCS, is a 2009 graduate of the University of Louisiana at
Monroe College of Pharmacy. He completed PGY1 and PGY2 critical care training at The Ohio
State University Medical Center in Columbus, OH, in 2011. He then practiced in neurocritical
care at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN, for 12 years. During this time, he served
in various leadership roles, including PGY2 critical care residency program director and system
pharmacy coordinator of post-graduate education and medical use policy. He has published
more than 60 peer-reviewed articles and is an international neurocritical care guideline
author. In 2022, Morgan transitioned from academic hospital pharmacy practice to critical care
medical affairs with Chiesi, USA, a mid-size pharmaceutical company with an acute care
medication portfolio. He providers medical science coverag for the southeastern USA and
currently resides in Germantown, TN, with his five- and seven-year old sons.

Tom Corbridge, MD, FCCP

Dr. Corbridge completed medical school, residency in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonary
and critical care at the University of Chicago. After fellowship he joined the faculty at the University
of Colorado and National Jewish Hospital. He was director of the intensive care unit at National
Jewish before returning to Chicago and Northwestern University. At Northwestern he rose through
the ranks to become Professor of Medicine and Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation,
started an asthma/COPD program, and directed the medical intensive care. He has been extensively
involved in medical student education and curricular reform and directed several courses and
clerkships. He has received numerous awards for teaching, and a teaching scholarship in perpetuity
was established in his name. He has served as an associate editor of the American Journal of
Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and has published over 100 papers. In 2018, Tom joined
GlaxoSmithKline where he is a Senior Medical Lead in US Medical Affairs. Dr. Corbridge remains an
Emeritus physician and Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Northwestern.
