Information Part 1
Physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and nurse practitioners, who manage critically ill patients.
Critical care practice & related pharmacotherapy encompasses a wide variety of disease states. New developments challenge the practitioner to stay abreast of emerging therapies & novel treatment strategies. This conference will focus on clinical controversies or novel therapies across the gamut of critical care medicine. We are excited to again partner with Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago to continue to include a pediatric track this year and are thrilled to expand our audience to include critical care physicians. Joe Mull, M.Ed, CSP will deliver our keynote session entitled, “No More Team Drama: Ending the Gossip, Cliques, and Other Crap that Damages Workplace Teams.” Our clinical topics will highlight the “P’s of ARDS: Proning, Paralysis, and Pulmonary Vasodilators,” “Keep Cool: Targeted Temperature Management Nuisances in Practice,” “Fluid Management Controversies in Pediatric DKA,” “Vaping implications in the PICU,” among others hot topics. Additional conference activities will include hands-on education where participants will get to interact with multiple technologies surrounding volume-resuscitation and intravascular volume assessment in critically ill patients.
Registration Fee: $75.00
Registration Deadline: Friday, August 21, 2020
Registration fee includes a continental breakfast, lunch, parking validation, networking reception, and up to 6.25 contact hours of continuing education credits. Paper handouts will not be provided. Handouts will be provided electronically for attendees to download and print before the conference.
All audience response questions, such as pre- and post-tests and active learning questions, will be conducted via the internet. Attendees must bring a smartphone, tablet, or laptop to this conference in order to participate in these activities and earn CE credits.
